Cost: $150 for non-alums, $120 for Hamline alums.
Location: Hamline University Fireside Room
Course Description:
Nulla dies sine linea—Not a Day Without a Line.
This workshop offers creatives, writers, and authors a path back into the creative self through a series of guided exercises in which the roadblocks to creativity are examined and challenged beneath a meditative lens. Often, creativity is stifled by absence. The absence of confidence. The absence of community. The absence of time or motivation. This workshop will examine how we replace absence with abundance and offer our work the fullness of self it deserves, even in times of uncertainty or when we have let our connection to the page atrophy.
Through practical, discussion-based exercises and instructor-led planning, we will face the life circumstances that pull us away from creativity with compassion and finds ways to stay connected to this essential aspect of ourselves. This workshop is ideal for students in search of the spark that allows them to return to creativity.
To find that not a day without a line goes by.
