Overview: Description of Executive Functioning, impacts of student learning, overcoming classroom obstacles

 

Objectives: Can I articulate executive functioning language, explain the impact of their deficits on a learner, and identify a learner’s strengths and areas of need within the classroom setting?

 

Outcomes: Participants will understand executive functions and the impact they have on student wellness and achievement.

 

Cost per graduate credit (each course provides 1 semester credit): $395

 

Each course completed will result in:

·      One graduate semester credit

·      24 continuing education clock hours

·      Completion certificate for your records

·      Three areas for Minnesota Teaching License Renewal: Positive behavioral intervention strategies; Key warning signs of early-onset mental illness in children and adolescents; Accommodation, modification and adaptation of curriculum, materials and instruction

 

To access this course content and earn Hamline graduate credit, you must submit a registration form and payment confirmation located in module 1 of this course. These graduate credits are issued through Continuing Studies Co-Sponsored Programs. Hamline University program directors reserve the right to determine the applicability of these courses toward Hamline degree programs

 

The coursework must be completed by December 18, 2020 to earn graduate credit for the Fall 2020 term.
