2026 Spring - COSP 7031-1 - Teacher Field School: Theory, Pedagogy, and Practice: Nature-Based Education for Classroom Teachers

Meeting Dates:  Feb 27-Mar 1, April 11-12, May 2-3

This field-based course is offered through a partnership between Hamline University, University of Minnesota’s Institute on Environment, and Freshwater. It is supported by funding from the State of Minnesota Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund. The course is open to teachers selected for participation in the Teacher Field School. It consists of immersive nature-based retreats. Between retreats, teachers create artifacts including nature-based lessons and activities and develop integrated curriculum that serves learners at their home school.
